Season Starts Tomorrow

Last night was our first big event together as the CW Riverhawks in 2023. With over 300 hundred Riverhawks in attendance the Toronto Rock put on a show beating their highway rivals the Buffalo Bandits 18 to 7. Billy Hostrawser caused the 13000+ in attendance to erupt as he started a donnybrook on his bobble-fist night. A big thank you to the volunteers that helped put the event together and those that worked the ball toss.

Tomorrow our minor representative box lacrosse assessments start. Our U7 players take the floor for the first time this season at 5 pm. We are excited about the opportunities that these players will have and where their lacrosse careers will take them.

Your CW executive has put in an incredible amount of work to ensure that all of our players will have a successful season. The coaches that we have lined up are also there to maximize player success and to ensure that they are on the team for them. By now you should have received an email from your respective representative coach with details on the tryout process.

The week after Easter our minor field teams will start their season off and have been practicing hard to be ready.

Our Local League, House League and Girl's Box Lacrosse programs start in the third week of April. We continue to see the positive results of program growth which is a direct result of the passion that our program leaders have. Players in these programs will also have to watch their emails for additional communication about the start of their seasons.

As we promote creating players for life, let's have as much fun as our U11 team did last night on the big stage. The future is bright for lacrosse players in Centre Wellington! Here's to a great season.
