CW Riverhawks Coaches Announced

Your CW Riverhawks return in 2023 as strong as ever! Your executive is pleased to announce the coaches selected for the 2023 season!

Our U7 Select players will be coached by Dave Cutten. Biding his time as the Peanut/Paperweight convenor, Dave is taking his first crack with this group in the U7 Select program. Dave's Boston Blazer days may be behind him, but he has his eyes set on a new finish line.

Jeff "Silky Mitts" O'Sullivan returns in 2023 as the coach of the U9 box team. We don't know what Jeff would do if he wasn't at the arena one day be it for: lacrosse, hockey, or ringette. A generational player and passionate athlete, we are excited to see him return giving back the knowledge of the game gleaned from the area and while playing junior.

Josh Rex is coming back after an incredibly successful run with the U13 group last year. He will be backed by Kasey Beirnes a long-time vet of the organization. Josh brings a tremendous amount of knowledge of both box and field to the program. Josh was part of the 2018 Founders Cup championship team, as well as winning the 2021 Baggataway Cup with the Brock Badgers.

We are excited to see Craig England return to assist with the U15s this year. After a brief coaching hiatus in fire college, Craig couldn't take it anymore and returned to take the bench and put these boys through their paces in 2023. Long-time resident, Craig, grew up playing lacrosse in Centre Wellington, where he moved on to play Junior A for Orangeville and then onto the NLL.

Chris Redwood and his group of committed bench personnel return to lead the U17s through another successful season. Chris brings a passion for the game like no other, and then there is the bench staff behind him. A group with tremendous dedication and experience in the game.

Lauren Young had quite the start last year, this long-time player saw a tremendous amount of success in both coaching and refereeing. We are so glad to have Lauren return as a shining example for our young ladies in the U15 age. Lauren grew up playing the game and was most recently part of the 2022 Senior Women's Ontario Championship team.

Sam Renaud returns, as fired up as ever to lead the U22 girls to a guaranteed championship! This fired-up group of young women have seen so much success under Sam's mentorship. With three players in the game, there isn't much that Sam hasn't seen on the field or floor. With another strong bench staff, there is no doubt that these women will see tremendous success this season.

Congratulations to our successful coaches and best of luck in 2023!
