Celebrating Our Athletes: Awards & AGM - Tuesday Oct 6, 2026

As another lacrosse season comes to a close, we have so much to celebrate!

Our Awards and Annual General Meeting is an opportunity to come together as a lacrosse community, reflect on the season, and most importantly, celebrate the athletes, coaches and volunteers who make our association so special.

Throughout the season, our athletes have shown us what it means to be a Riverhawk. They have worked hard, learned new skills, supported their teammates, faced challenges, celebrated victories, and continued to grow both on and off the floor and field.

Celebrating More Than Wins

While the scoreboards and medals are certainly exciting, there is so much more to celebrate.

Our athletes have demonstrated determination, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and a love for the game. They have encouraged teammates, welcomed new players, battled through tough games, learned from losses and celebrated each other's successes.

Those are the moments that help build not just better lacrosse players, but better teammates and members of our community.

Our awards provide an opportunity to recognize some of these qualities and shine a spotlight on the athletes, families, coaches and volunteers who have made a difference throughout the year.

A Community Effort

Lacrosse doesn't happen without a community behind it.

Behind every player is a network of parents, grandparents, siblings, coaches, trainers, convenors, officials, timekeepers, volunteers and supporters who give their time and energy to make it all possible.

From early mornings and late nights to practices, games, tournaments and countless hours behind the scenes, our volunteers continue to give their time because they believe in our athletes and in the sport of lacrosse.

To every volunteer who helped make the season happen — thank you.

Looking Back and Looking Ahead

The AGM also gives us an opportunity to look back at the past year, share what has been accomplished, recognize the work of our volunteers and look ahead to the future of Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse.

Our association continues to grow because of the commitment of our athletes, families and volunteers. Every season brings new opportunities, new challenges and new memories.

As we celebrate this year's accomplishments, we are already looking forward to seeing our Riverhawks back on the floor and field, ready for another season.

Growing Our Executive & Volunteer Team

As we look ahead to another season, we are also looking at ways to grow and strengthen our executive and volunteer team. We are currently seeking individuals interested in taking on leadership roles, including new positions 6’s Coordinator and Girls Field Lacrosse Coordinator, as well as volunteers for a number of open positions including Minor to Junior Liaison, U4–U7 Development Coordinator, Tournament Coordinator, Risk Management, Winter Skills Coordinator and various committee positions. These roles are an important part of helping our programs continue to grow and ensuring we can provide the best possible experience for our athletes and families. Whether you are looking to take on a larger role or lend a hand on a committee, there is a place for you within the Riverhawks volunteer team. If you have an interest, an idea or simply want to get involved, we would love to hear from you!

Congratulations, Riverhawks!

To all of our athletes — be proud of what you accomplished this season.

Whether you brought home a medal, reached a new personal milestone, learned a new skill, encouraged a teammate, stepped onto the floor for the first time or simply continued to love playing the game — you are an important part of the Riverhawks family.

Your effort, enthusiasm and love of lacrosse are what make our association what it is.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and congratulations to every Riverhawk athlete on a fantastic season!

We are proud of you and can't wait to see what you accomplish next.

Play hard. Support your teammates. Be proud to be a Riverhawk.
