As we look ahead to the coming seasons, the executive is working hard to plan and coordinate a strong lineup of programs for our players and families. We are pleased to share several new and returning lacrosse opportunities coming to Centre Wellington.

Our next major program launch is the Chumash Lacrosse Pickup Program, beginning Wednesday, November 19, at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre. This weekly drop-in program is designed for players in the U9, U11, and U13 age groups, offering an accessible and engaging way to build skills throughout the winter.
Sessions run 6:30–8:30 p.m., with admission by donation.

Each evening includes a warm-up and short development session, followed by multiple Chumash-style games. Players will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure balanced teams and an enjoyable experience for all participants.

We are also preparing for the return of our Winter Skills Camp to be held at the Royal City Ball Hockey Rink beginning in January. The camp will take place on Sundays and is open exclusively to players in the U9, U11, and U13 divisions. The program will offer structured instruction focused on fundamentals, confidence building, and off-season skill development. Full details and registration information will be released shortly.

Registration for next year’s programming will be late December, including: Spring Field Lacrosse, Summer Box Lacrosse, Local League, and #LoLax.

Families are encouraged to watch for the opening announcement and register early to secure their spots for the 2025 season.

We are currently accepting coaching applications for the upcoming season. We encourage anyone interested—whether experienced or new to coaching—to apply. An upcoming “Coach the Coach” session will help new and returning coaches build confidence, learn best practices, and prepare for the season ahead.

With the holiday season approaching, this is an excellent opportunity to order Riverhawks items in time for Christmas. New designs are added regularly, with options for all ages.

We are excited to share that the Riverhawks will be participating in both the Elora and Fergus Christmas parades this year. We invite all members of our community to come out, show their support, and help celebrate the holiday season with us.
