Minor Box Lacrosse Coaches Announced

Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse Association is fortunate to have such passion for the sport of lacrosse in such a small centre. Your CW executive is excited to share the coaches that have been selected for the 2024 season. Please join us in welcoming your CW Riverhawks 2024 coaches!

Tyler Renton [U7 Select]

Tyler is a long-time Fergus Thistle who played all of his minor lacrosse in Fergus right up to the Intermediate level. Tyler was an assistant on the floor last year with the Development program, so brings familiarity with his group of kids. His excitement to provide a fun learning environment will provide a great experience for our youngest rep program.

Kyle Goss [U9-1 Minor Box]

We are very fortunate to have 2 exceptional applicants in the U9 age group. After plenty of deliberation, we feel that Kyle brings an extensive coaching resume, playing experience, and a great head coach mentality. His successful coaching experiences and love for the game will be a great asset to this group of kids. He has ensured that the other applicant will be a part of the bench staff so that only adds to the potential success of this team.

Mark England [U11-1 Minor Box]

Mark has been a longstanding coach within our organization. He was the head coach of 2 of our rep teams last year and did a great job with both teams. Mark has played at all levels of play locally from minor lacrosse, up to Jr. B for the Mohawks. Not only will this team gain from the knowledge of Mark, but he has indicated a very strong group of non-parent volunteers to join him on his bench staff.

Kasey Beirnes [U13-1 Minor Box]

Kasey is a passionate member of the lacrosse community. He has spent countless hours assisting with the growth of the program in Centre Wellington as well as surrounding areas. After his long-standing career in the NLL with the Toronto Rock, he has turned to sharing excitement for the game with the next generation. His ability to communicate in-game subtleties with the players he works with is unmatched.

Chris Redwood [U17-1 Minor Box]

Chris is a long-standing coach in the organization. He had this group of kids two years ago and coached them to a Silver Medal in the A provincials. This brings excitement, passion, and high expectations to the 2024 season. He is a steward of the game and is constantly trying to educate himself on trends and strategies that he can pass down to the young men. The focus at this age group is not only on producing a great team but also on ensuring these kids are great young men in our community. Alongside Chris, he also has a very extensive bench staff that this group will enjoy working with.

Congratulations to our selected coaches. Players and parents you are in great hands. Best of luck in the 2024 season!
